Let us take care of the details while you create the memories!
This property is unique in the Southern Zone. It is the only location that offers a panoramic ocean-view every day, and spectacular sunsets each evening. And it is an easy 5-minute walk to a deserted beach just down the road.
One day the current owner was walking on the beach below, looked up, and instantly fell in love with the view he could see of the buildings nestled in the jungle above. Initially he focused on renovating the buildings to a standard of luxury and unique architectural features. He then turned his attention to reviving the nature of the land itself. The property now extends over 75-acres nestled in a pristine Protected Biological Reserve.
There are a variety of nature hikes on the property, and trained guides are available to take you on bird-watching tours and even night tours. The Nature Reserve located on the property manages a variety of environmental protection projects, and has wildlife trip-cameras on the trails to record the return and increase of local species.
Come visit one of the most luxurious, unique, and beautiful event locations in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
In 1988 I told my mom that I would take a 6-month round-the-world trip, then return to Canada to finally settle down into ‘normal’. Well it is now 26 years later, and Costa Rica is country #37 that I have either lived in or visited. After 2 years working in San Jose, I went for a short holiday to the Southern Pacific Zone, and immediately knew that I had found my new home. And I have lived here for over 15 years.
I love what I do and I cherish where I live. There is a unique quality of life here that has been slowly disappearing elsewhere. The sheer lushness of the surrounding jungle, the untamed beaches, and the warm welcome of the local people create what is called the Pura Vida life.
I have been in the tourism industry for most of the time I have lived here – starting as a tour guide for a local company, then opening the first tourist information center in this region, and then creating the first yearly guide book for tourists and locals. I have years of experience working with our local tour companies, car rental companies, and personally know the chefs, drivers, massage therapists, and local guides we use in our Packages. I have an endless supply of stories about ‘the good old days’ here, as well as fascinating little-known history of the region.
After all these years in tourism and connection with the community, if I don’t know the answer, I know how to find it for you.
What Others Say About Us
Staying at RPT Costa Rica Journeys was a retreat unlike any other! The panoramic views, the sounds of the jungle, the incredible meals and fresh fruit, morning swims in the pool, my beautiful bedroom suite, walks on the beach with the rolling waves, the charming town and it’s Saturday market.
All of these made my trip to Costa Rica one of the richest healing experiences of my life. I can’t say enough to express how special this place and this time was!Raina
One beautiful morning, we went down to the beach to watch the tide and scarlet macaws in the wild. It was so quiet that we only heard the sound of the waves. Also after waking up in the morning, one could here only the sounds of nature.
For such a small corner of Costa Rica, there is a surprisingly high number of activities to try out and enjoy. The people from the property know the area very well, and are pleased to help you with planning trips.
This place is very special and not to be mistaken as a hotel. Let’s describe it more as an open house where everyone is welcome. I am definitely going to visit this lovely place again, every time I’m in the southern zone of Costa Rica.Andrea And Selena
